stringing all the pieces together

yesterday, i felt the prompting from god to talk about two stories from the bible with clarence before i slept.

the first one is the one we were still reading before he called:

Galatians 1:

But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!

the second one is this:

8 Some time later, when he went back to marry her, he turned aside to look at the lion’s carcass, and in it he saw a swarm of bees and some honey. 9 He scooped out the honey with his hands and ate as he went along. When he rejoined his parents, he gave them some, and they too ate it. But he did not tell them that he had taken the honey from the lion’s carcass.

the common theme: be righteous and lead others into righteousness.

the first story: do not mislead others onto stray paths, because the punishment you get will be more severe than those sinners

the second story: samson was a nazirite, set apart for god. in the past, the nazarites are not to eat anything taken from dead animals. but samson did, and he made his parents join in the act as well, unknowingly.

sometimes, the things i share do not make sense to me, but it makes sense to others. who knows? =D
